Univerx Developer

Developer

Open APIs, SDKs, webhooks and embeddable components for your own extensions, plus a developer centre with documentation and a test environment. What the platform can do, your development teams can use.

Building blocks

Developer in detail.

The building blocks at a glance – all in the same workspace and under the same administration.

  • Open APIs

Configuration, contacts, analytics and flows through documented interfaces.

  • Webhooks

Report events such as a new contact, a handover or an outcome to your systems in real time.

  • SDKs

Libraries for common programming languages handle authentication and retries.

  • Embeddable components

Embed the chat window, contact controls or views in your own applications.

  • Developer centre

Documentation, samples and a test environment, separate from production.

#Built from interfaces

Univerx is built from independent services that talk to each other through interfaces. The developer platform opens those interfaces to your development teams. What works with a click in the admin console also works through the API.

It is the route for everything not available ready-made in the Marketplace: a connection to an in-house system, a flow of your own, a view inside an existing application.

An API key with limited permissions and a log of its recent calls. Sample.

#The tools

APIs for configuration, contacts, analytics and flows. They follow consistent conventions and are documented in the developer centre, with samples for the most common tasks.

Webhooks report events in real time: a new contact, a handover from an AI agent to a person, a campaign outcome. Your systems react without polling.

SDKs for common programming languages take care of authentication, paging and retries. Your team writes logic, not plumbing.

Embeddable components bring the chat window into your app, contact controls into your business system or a view into your intranet.

All tools use the same roles and permissions as the admin console. An extension can therefore never do more than the role it runs under allows. That makes in-house development as auditable as configuration, and it makes sign-off by IT security and data protection easier.

#Developing securely

What applies to every access

Keys with exactly the permissions needed
Granting and revoking in central administration
A log of every call with time and result
Separate test and production environments

The test environment is separate from production. Developments are checked there and go live only after approval. For organisations under NIS2, key management and logs are part of the supply-chain evidence.

#Data going out

If you want data not on request but continuously in a system of your own, use BI & data export. For the opposite direction, business systems inside the contact, there are the CRM and ITSM connectors.

Univerx Marketplace & Developer

Open to your system landscape, never an island.

Vetted apps and connectors from one catalogue, ready-made connections to common CRM and ITSM systems, integration of existing phone systems, open APIs, SDKs, webhooks and data export to your BI.

  • Marketplace

A catalogue of vetted apps and connectors you try, install and remove straight from the admin console. With visible permissions, a trial phase and central approval.

  • CRM & ITSM

Ready-made connectors for common CRM and IT service management systems: customer contact appears in the business system, and business data appears on the agent desktop. No double entry, no window switching.

Frequently asked questions

Are the APIs the same ones Univerx uses itself?

The platform is built from services with interfaces. The public APIs give access to configuration, contacts, analytics and flows; which areas exactly are open is listed in the developer centre.

Is there a test environment?

Yes. Developments can be tested in a separate environment before they are released into production.

How is API access secured?

Through keys and permissions granted in central administration. Each key has only the rights it needs, and every access is logged.
