Add-on

Reads the documents behind every case. Findings in euros.

Semantic² is an optional add-on to the Univerx platform. It reads the decision letters, contracts and invoices behind a case, checks them against rules and bookings and reports deviations as a finding in euros. The decision stays with people.

How it runs

One case, step by step.

How a case runs with Semantic² – from the first step to the result in the case record.

Semantic²
  1. 01

    Read

Decision letters, contracts, invoices and case data, structured or scanned.

  2. 02

    Check

Against rules, contract and booked amounts: rate, hours, dates, duplicates.

  3. 03

    Finding

Amount in euros, violated rule, source in the document, related booking.

  4. 04

    Decide

The officer accepts or rejects. Every decision is logged.

  5. 05

    Write back

The result goes into the case system; the reply can run through the Univerx Channel.

Features

What sets Semantic² apart.

The properties that matter day to day – on the same platform as every other contact.

  • Every finding with a source

Amount, rule, location in the document and booking sit side by side. Nothing has to be taken on trust.

  • Structured and scanned

Reads forms as well as scans and photos, marking the passage it read.

  • Rules you know

Check rules are readable and versioned. What is checked can be explained.

  • People decide

No finding is booked automatically. Accepting or rejecting is an action with a log entry.

Built on

Builds on Univerx AI and the task routing of the Contact Center.

An add-on is not a separate system. It uses the platform capabilities you already run – with the same administration and the same roles.

  • AI Agents

AI agents understand the request, act in connected systems and hand over to people with context. On the phone as a voicebot, in chat as a text agent, always disclosed as AI.

  • Task routing

Back-office tasks are distributed like contacts: applications, forms, follow-up questions and wrap-up work reach the right person by skill, deadline and priority, with workbins and follow-ups.

#Why an add-on for documents

Many requests do not end in a conversation but in a file. Behind a payment is a decision letter, behind the letter an application, behind the application an invoice. Whoever checks that reads. Semantic² takes over the reading and turns documents into a finding.

Semantic² is optional and sits on top of the Univerx platform. The platform works fully without it; teams that handle cases with many documents add Semantic² when they need it.

A finding is not an opinion. It consists of an amount in euros, the violated rule, the location in the document and the related booking. All four sit side by side.

A finding over the scanned invoice: amount, rule, source, booking. Sample.

#Which checks Semantic² takes over

CheckExample
RateThe hourly rate invoiced differs from the rate agreed in the contract
HoursThe hours invoiced exceed the scope approved in the decision letter
DatesThe service period lies outside the approval
DuplicatesThe same invoice was submitted in two cases

The examples are typical, not exhaustive. Which checks matter in your area you define together with us as a rule group. Every rule is written in readable form, so officers and supervisors can understand and check it.

#What Semantic² does not do

It does not book. It does not decide. It does not send anything. Every finding waits for a person who accepts or rejects it, and each of those actions is logged. That is not caution out of embarrassment; it is the design.

#Where it belongs

Semantic² sits on Univerx AI and task routing. A case with documents is distributed like any other contact, except that the first processing step is a check.

The benefit is strongest where documents are regularly checked against rules: in the public sector, at insurers and in healthcare.

#Oversight, logging, privacy

Semantic² is designed for the EU AI Act requirements on human oversight and logging. Every finding names its source; every decision is recorded with time, person and reason. So even months later you can trace why an amount was corrected or not.

Documents and findings are meant to stay in your tenant’s EU region – the platform is designed for that – and follow the same rules for retention and roles as all other data. Who may see findings is a role decision. More under Responsible AI.

#Rollout

A pilot starts with one document type and one group of rules. You bring real cases, we bring the check.

At the end of the pilot both sides know how many findings were accepted and why. There are no promises upfront; the numbers come from your cases.

How a finding comes about in detail is shown in our post What Semantic² reads. The route from the first document type to regular operation is described in our guide Using document intelligence in cases.

Frequently asked questions

Which documents does Semantic² read?

Decision letters, contracts, invoices and the data of the case, as a form, scan or photo. Further document types are agreed together in the pilot.

What is it checked against?

Against rules, contract terms and booked amounts: rate, hours, dates, duplicates. The rules are readable and versioned.

Does Semantic² book anything itself?

No. Every finding is a proposal. The officer accepts or rejects, and only then does the result go back into the case system.

What does the EU AI Act mean for using it?

Semantic² is designed for human oversight, logging and explainable findings. Whether a specific deployment falls into a risk class is something we clarify together with you.
