Requirements

What matters in customer contact.

The requests, rules and peaks that shape this industry – and how Univerx answers them.

  • Where is my shipment?

The most common question can be answered before it is asked. Notices on dispatch, delay and delivery, by SMS or messaging.

  • Changing a delivery slot

New slot, safe place, neighbour: AI agents handle it in chat or on the phone and write it into the connected system.

  • Drivers need answers

Unclear address, blocked access, recipient not home. Driver requests run in their own queue with priority.

  • Exceptions that get stuck

Damage, loss, returns: task routing turns them into cases with a deadline, a workbin and tracking.

  • Disruptions in the network

Weather, strikes, outages: one disruption affects many at once. Proactive notices and callbacks take the pressure off.

  • Critical sectors

NIS2 explicitly names transport as well as postal and courier services. Documents on supply chain and reporting lines on request.

#Inform instead of making people wait

In logistics and mobility, almost every customer question has a status as its answer. Where is the shipment, when will it arrive, why is it late? People who know the status do not need to call.

Univerx turns events into notices. Dispatch, delay, a delivery attempt or a cancellation trigger notifications by SMS, email or messaging. Anyone who replies lands in the queue together with the case.

A shipment as a journey: events, notices and the moments when someone asks.

#The next best action for the shipment

With journey orchestration, every event is followed by the fitting action. A missed delivery attempt triggers an offer of a new slot. A long delay offers a callback.

#Drivers and customers in one queue

Drivers need a fast answer, or the route stalls. Their requests run in their own queue with priority. Dispatch and customer service see the same case.

When the recipient calls afterwards, it is already clear what happened. Nobody has to ask twice. AI agents handle simple slot changes themselves and hand over with context.

#When a disruption hits many

Storms, strikes or outages affect thousands of shipments or passengers at once. One central announcement in IVR and chat, proactive notices and callbacks instead of hold absorb the wave. The use case Peak load & crisis communication describes the order.

#Regulation in view

The NIS2 Directive (EU) 2022/2555 covers the transport sector as well as postal and courier services. Univerx supports your obligations with documents on request; see NIS2 in the Trust Center.

For passenger transport, Germany's Accessibility Strengthening Act sets requirements for digital customer interfaces. For messaging and self-service, WCAG 2.1 AA is the goal.

#A typical start

  1. Workshop: define events, channels, rules and systems.
  2. Pilot: one event type with a notice, a reply option and slot changes.
  3. Rollout: driver queue, exceptions with deadlines, disruption communication.

Frequently asked questions

How does shipment status get into Univerx?

Through connectors or open APIs from your tracking and dispatch systems. Events such as a delay or a delivery can trigger notifications automatically.

Can drivers use Univerx?

Driver requests arrive by phone or messaging in their own queue. Dispatch and customer service see the same case.

How do we avoid sending too many messages?

With rules you set: which events, which channels, which time windows. Customers can reply to any message or unsubscribe.

Does the Accessibility Act apply to mobility providers?

For parts of passenger transport services it sets requirements, for example for websites and apps. Univerx is designed for WCAG 2.1 AA in customer interfaces.
