Univerx Journeys
Journey orchestration
Journey orchestration triggers the next best action in real time when a journey reaches a certain point: a chat offer, a callback, a message, or a hint for the agent who is on the call right now.

Building blocks
Journey orchestration in detail.
The building blocks at a glance – all in the same workspace and under the same administration.
Triggers
An event, a pattern or a value in the journey starts the orchestration.
Decision
Rules and models choose the fitting action among several options.
Action on any channel
Chat, callback, SMS, email, a hint on the agent desktop or a back-office task.
Contact rules
Caps on contacts, quiet periods and consent apply to every action.
Measured impact
Every action is measured against a control group, not just counted.
#Acting while it still helps
The best analysis is of little use if the insight arrives only in the monthly report. Orchestration acts while the journey is still under way.
It notices that someone is opening the notice-period page for the third time and offers a callback before the cancellation email arrives.
The principle is simple: a trigger, a decision, an action. The art lies in approving the right actions and avoiding the wrong ones.

#Trigger, decision, action
Triggers are events or patterns: an abandoned application, a repeated search, a missed payment, an outage in the customer’s area. They come from journey analytics or straight from your business systems.
Decisions are made by rules, optionally supported by models. They pick the fitting action among those approved and take into account what has already happened in recent days.
Actions run on any channel of the platform: a chat offer through proactive engagement, a callback, a message through Univerx Outbound or a hint on the desktop of the person who is on the call.
#Limits that apply to every action
Once you have many actions, you need rules above them. Univerx keeps contact rules in one place: how often a person may be contacted in a period, at which times not, and when not at all, for instance during an open complaint.
#Measuring impact, not counting actions
That an action fired often says nothing about its value. Univerx therefore compares journeys with the action against a control group without it. Only the difference shows whether the callback really prevented a drop-out.
Our guide Journey orchestration: a playbook describes how to build triggers, actions and measurement in a sensible order. The term is explained in the glossary under next best action.
Univerx Journeys
Understand what customers really do, and act at the right moment.
Univerx Journeys joins events from website, app and contact centre into customer journeys, shows where people get stuck and triggers the next best action: in chat, on the phone or as a message.
Journey analytics
Journey analytics joins events from website, app and contact centre into customer journeys and shows flows, funnels and root causes: where people drop out, where they turn instead, and which step triggers a call.

Surveys & voice of the customer
Short post-contact surveys by phone, chat, messaging, email or text message. CSAT, NPS and CES per queue, topic and journey step, free text analysed for topics and sentiment, and low scores answered with a callback.

Frequently asked questions
What is the next best action?
The response most likely to help at this moment of the journey, chosen from actions you have approved. Sometimes that means doing nothing.
Who decides which actions are possible?
Your team. Actions, triggers and contact rules are created, tested and approved in administration. Univerx only chooses from what has been approved.
How do we avoid contacting customers too often?
Through contact rules that apply to all actions together: a cap per period, quiet hours, exclusion during open complaints and consent per channel.
